Book Blogger Hop - Sept 24 -27

Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop is on again.

The question today is "When you write reviews, do you write them as you are reading or wait until you have read the entire book?"

My answer: I always wait until I've finished reading the book. I'll occasionally put a post-it note on a page where there's a quote I need to refer to later, and I often think of things I want to say in my review while I'm reading (I should take notes on that, as my brain leaks like a sieve), but I try to write the review within 24 hours of finishing the book. Sometimes, my schedule precludes it, and I'll write two or three on a Saturday morning, to be posted on schedule.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I love the look of yours! My one claim to fame regarding Science Fiction is that I knew Phillip K Dick personally in the early 70s. At the time he was a struggling writer sharing a dumpy apartment in Fullerton with a friend of mine. I've always regretted that he didn't hit it big until after his death.

Does that warrant a "BWA HA HA HA!"

... or should I be worried about a stalker?!

:)

Yeah, it tends to happen when you go down the list... I was right behind Bookaholic, I think XD

Thanks for coming by my blog! I'm reading Faye Kellerman's book right now and not having read the previous ones in this series, I'm enjoying getting to know Decker and his family.

Hi, I am new to your blog from the Hop! :)

Wow! You can write two or three reviews at once! I can only write one at a time, although I sometimes "set up" a couple of posts at a time.

Sometimes I have to write it immediately too. There's just the occasional book (like Kafka on the Shore) that I need some time to process. My brain's just weird like that. Happy reading. I'm a new follower

Hopping by to say hi! I sometimes do post-it notes, too...otherwise I'll forget what I wanted to highlight in my review. Have a great weekend :)

@Suko - Well, I don't write them simultaneously...that would be crazy. But I sometimes end up with a stack of two or three after a hard week.
@Sharon - You should definitely pick up a copy of The Ritual Bath, to find out where Rina and Decker got their start.
@Anne - I'm opposed to the actual banning of books, though I have no objections to placing some of them in age-appropriate sections.
@2manybooks - Philip K. Dick was a little out there, even for SF, back in the 70s. I read his biography a while back, and found it interesting.
@Heather - it's a thin line between fan and stalker sometimes. We'll see what happens during next week's Hop.
